IC Information
CHARACTER NAME: Anthony "Tony" Edward Stark
CANON POINT: Post-Avengers, pre-Iron Man 3
JOB ABOARD THE MOIRA: Engineer / Head of Ingress work
ARRIVED: 06/01/16
RANK: Princeps
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: ROBERT DOWNEY JR.
MEDICAL:
There's a cluster of shrapnel near his heart, and a powerful electromagnet embedded over the area. The magnet is powered by a miniaturized arc reactor, which is basically just a tiny, self-sustaining energy generator that's filled with a heretofore undiscovered element. The reactor is generally visible even through clothing.

ABILITIES:
  • Engineering - he’s an expert with weapons manufacturing in particular (missiles with advanced computerized components, guns, land mines, you name it), but he’s also advanced enough to create the Iron Man suit’s many iterations and miniaturize Howard Stark’s arc reactor. He’s also great with cars, tractors, various sundry found at a RadioShack -- basically, if it’s a machine, he’ll probably coo softly at it before lovingly taking it apart and improving it. Him and machines have an understanding.
  • Computers & Programming - similar to the above, as he’s responsible for programming his house, his phones and tablets, self-piloting jets and helicopters, etc etc etc. He even managed to suggest modifications to the Extremis program while drunk off his ass that one time. He’s also able to design AI like JARVIS and FRIDAY that are practically people in their own right for how efficient and responsive they are to verbal commands and requests. (And he somehow even programmed JARVIS to be sarcastic). There’s also that time he accidentally programmed sentient life in Ultron, but... yeah. Anyway.
  • Mathematics - Tony can do ridiculously complex mathematics in his head, in record time. To quote him, “If my math is right, and it always is...”
  • Hacking - He hacked the Pentagon on a dare in grade school, and his prowess has presumably only improved since then, given the times we’ve seen him hacking government computers at senate hearings, hacking SHIELD, de-encrypting nuclear codes, screwing with the audio system on the Raft, etc. etc.
  • Marksmanship - He knows his way around weapons, having spent much of his life designing them.
  • Pilot - Tony is repeatedly shown piloting helicopters, stealth jets, and, naturally, the Iron Man armor. It’s safe to say that he’s fairy confident in the air.
  • Hand-to-hand combat - Though not remotely on the same skill level as the other Avengers, Tony is shown practicing various martial arts in his spare time, and has used these techniques both in and out of the armor throughout the movies.
  • Intellect, in general - Consider all of the above, his quips about becoming an expert in thermonuclear astrophysics in one night, his ability to analyze something like Loki’s sceptor - totally unfamiliar alien technology - and glean that there’s AI embedded inside it, his ability to constantly be doing nine hundred things at once, and it’s clear that Tony’s real superpower isn’t any one skill so much as his high level intellect and adaptability. He's a genius in the truest, most ridiculously #comics sense of the word.

SPECIAL ITEMS:
Mark VII Iron Man armor, which also includes his AI JARVIS, and the bracelets that allow it to remotely activate; the bracelets will be on his person at all times.

CHARACTER'S TRIGGERS:
He currently doesn't appreciate aliens, wormholes, near-death experiences, or other related discussion topics. He has a pretty serious and undiagnosed case of PTSD and an anxiety problem besides.

QUIRKS:
Expect him to cover most interactions with a layer of sass and sarcasm, expect him to forget to eat and sleep, expect him to spend waaaaaay too much time tinkering (and thus, by extension, working way too much), and expect his mind to work in very bizarre ways.

PSYCHIC:
Hit me up first so that we can plot accordingly, but yes! He has no natural or trained wards against this, but keep in mind that his reaction will likely be extremely hostile.

AFFECTION/RELATIONSHIPS:
He's an easy flirt, makes copious lewd jokes, and doesn't shy away from casual physical contact. That said, he's in a committed relationship back home, so anything beyond harmless flirting is pretty unlikely. There's a 98% chance he isn't actually sincere in any of these actions.

MAGIC:
Hit me up first because this depends entirely upon circumstances, but probably! But expect him to hate it and possibly you.

PHYSICAL:
Rough him up all you want. He needs a good punch in the mouth every now and then.

CONTENT WARNINGS:
As mentioned above, he has anxiety and PTSD issues which are somewhat likely to come up now and again due to the nature of the setting. He's also the subject of some parental abuse as a child, but this is very vaguely defined in canon and almost entirely unlikely to come up. Still, if those are uncomfortable topics for you please let me know!

PLAYER TRIGGERS:
Sexual violence and very explicit gore are right out. Hit me up about anything you're not sure about!

4TH WALL:
Feel free to have your character recognize him if they conceivably could, he'll roll with it.
